“If you are in an aeroplane, and toxic fumes from engine oil leak into the cabin, you cannot open a window and you cannot get out. This can and does happen from time to time (though it often goes unreported). Therefore I would highly recommend that anyone who is flying wears a protective, activated charcoal mask, just in case of such an incident. The mask will also protect you from the spraying of insecticides, a frequent occurrence when aircraft are in tropical destinations.
