Cranfield University

On 15th September the BBC interviewed Prof Helen Muir who is heading the UK's Department for Transport's study at Cranfield University which promises to reveal the chemical composition of aircraft cabin air contaminants by taking samples from real flights. She said they would have the results in six months, for which we eagerly await. The GCAQE have already cited flaws in their methods used to collect and analyse data saying “it's as if they don't want to find anything”. We recently noticed this statement proudly displayed on the University's website:

“We  play a big part in the aerospace business sector with close commercial partnerships with Airbus, BAE Systems, Boeing and Rolls-Royce, to name just a few.”

The cabin air study is using two aircraft types, the BAe 146, and the Boeing 757 with Rolls-Royce engines. Does anyone think it might be bad for the university's commercial prospects if they “find something”?
