Confidential paper on contaminated cabin air leaked to the German press

BDF - Bundesverband der Deutschen FluggesellschaftenLast Thursday German TV and radio were hot with the revelation of an internal paper leaked to the German media. The document is from the Bundesverband der Deutschen Fluggesellschaften, BDF (Association of German airlines) and reveals their concerns of further media attention on the subject of contaminated cabin air. It urges its members to do their best to keep attention away from passengers who have been affected by contaminated cabin air, to keep quiet about the issue, and if they do have to speak, to make sure they all have their stories straight.

Although this is big news and is a global issue, we don't believe this latest story has been reported outside Germany. You can get an idea of the extent of the media coverage here. (All articles are in German).

Clearly airlines need to make money as does any business, but it’s a sad state of affairs that the industry has everything to do with protecting its interests and making money and nothing to do with looking after the health of its employees and passengers.
