AHWG being wound up

In the UK, the Department for Transport has announced that it is closing down the Aviation Health Working Group. After ten years, the department seems happy that the group has run its course and is no longer needed. In those ten years, £400,000 of taxpayers' money has been spent, no meaningful research had been completed and Cranfield University have not published their Cabin Air Quality study. It has hardly been a glowing success and has in no way fulfilled its intended role.
