On 28^th November 2011 Colonel Ron Williams USAF (ret) contacted the Aerotoxic Association as he had Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) which was caused by breathing air contaminated by oil fumes whilst flying fighters for the United States Air Force (USAF).

In his e mail to an official, he used these prophetic words:

“Sir, we are dying out here and need help……”

On 5^th May 2012 Colonel Ron Williams sadly passed away.

The Aerotoxic Association has been sent a memorial article on Colonel Williams and as the breathing of oil fumes is not only a past but a present day problem, we have decided to publish a memorial page to his memory with current information about IPF from Colonel William’s colleagues.
