Yes, the forum is still there! We have seen a drop in visitors since we took on the big red "forum" button. There is still a link on the left side main menu.

Germans find TCP in aircraft

There has been a lot of activity in Germany and Switzerland over the past month since the screening of two programmes revealing the discovery of the highly poisonous neurotoxin TCP in the cabins of 28 out of 30 random flights. Before the programmes, the cabin air quality issue had little coverage in these countries, and since they have aired the Aerotoxic Association has received many harrowing emails from crew and passengers who have now been able to account for their health symptoms. If you haven't seen the programmes yet, they can be viewed online, and an English transcript is also available for one of them:

Programme, transcript and more

A follow-up programme in more depth is due to be shown within the next two weeks and we'll bring you details once a date has been finalised. Keep an eye on the website for details.

Telegraph - 'Toxic' cabin air found in new plane study

The UK daily newspaper has also been following the story from the German-speaking TV stations. Good to see them giving the Aeortoxic Association a mention.

David Learmount speaks out

Flight International's David Learmount has been very vocal about contaminated cabin air over the past few months and has recently started a blog and forum specifically so that people can tell their stories from a human perspective. A large number of crew and passengers have already responded and it makes for shocking reading. The more accounts he has the more weight the issue will gather, so if you have personal experience in this area, please go and contribute.

Forum and blog

He has also made a post on the Professional Pilots Rumour Network (PPRuNe) and has been very damning about the aviation industry and pilot unions.

Record Visitors

The website had more visitors than ever in February. Nearly 5,000 people stopped by. This is in no small part thanks to the recent interest in Germany and Switzerland and the Telegraph article. We believe the more publicity the Aerotoxic issue gets, the quicker industry will act to do something about it.
