Figures from UK House of Lords
| | Hi Everyone, | | We thought it was time to write to you to update you on the new and exciting things that are happening here at the Aerotoxic Association. | | First of all we have a new website that is currently under construction and this will be ready during March. The new site will make a stronger visual impact as well as making it easier to search for items, to find out what’s going on, and make our campaign much clearer. | | Campaign We are also starting a Social Media Campaign using LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook to get our message out to many more people. This campaign coupled with the new website should help us reach the masses and enable us to educate them about Aerotoxic Syndrome. As we all know, every day passengers and aircrew are being exposed to toxic fumes with little or nothing being done. It is up to us to tell the public what is happening.
| New Database As part of these updates and changes we are going to be moving over to a new database system. When this happens we will write again asking for your permission to transfer your contact details to the new system. All that you will be required to do is click on the email to accept. That way we can continue to keep in touch with you, providing you with the latest news, and advice on Aerotoxic Syndrome. | |
Face Masks
We would also like to remind you that as we are fast approaching spring and with Easter not far away it is the time when people start flying off on holiday. If you are planning to fly soon, don’t fly without a mask to protect you and your family. It is such a small investment for protection of your health and peace of mind. The “Flyer’s Friend” ™ is a lightweight activated carbon mask and should offer a significant level of protection against toxic fumes that can sometimes be found in jet aircraft when oil leaks occur. Please click here to get yours now. |
“Angel Without Wings” We have a 2 minute trailer on the website for a new documentary soon to be released which you might be interested in watching. It is the story of Susan Michaelis, a young Australian pilot whose life was blighted by Aerotoxic Syndrome, and about how she researched the issue for 13 years and will soon publish her PhD.. Click here to view the trailer.
| | Finally We would like to thank you for your help and support to date, it is much appreciated and we hope that you continue to subscribe to the newsletters. If you know anyone (friends, family, colleagues) who would be interested in supporting us – please pass on this invitation to them. All they need to do is go to our website at www.aerotoxic.org and sign up for the newsletter. | | I look forward to writing again soon as these exciting changes start to be introduced. In the meantime I wish you and your families a healthy and happy remainder of 2011. | | Yours sincerely | John Hoyte Chairman, Aerotoxic Association |
