Mr Brown to Prime Minister Theresa May 7th November 2016.
7 November 2016
Dear Prime Minister
For the Personal Attention of and Reply from the Prime Minister
It is with deep regret that I have to write to you for your own personal attention and reply regarding the Government’s failure in its duty of care to its citizens in its use of toxic chemicals and poisons.
This gross cover-up in my opinion where sheep farmers were made ill and have died with the compulsory dipping of sheep with organophosphates is not acceptable in keeping the truth from being known to the general public.
1) Strychnine, a deadly toxic poison with no antidote, permitted for use by Governments of this country for over 65 years under Acts of Parliament which has killed human life.
2) The hypocrisy of DEFRA, formerly Ministry of Agriculture, in its gross failings and the scandalous way in which its Secretaries of State and Ministers have withheld and avoided answering questions from myself and my MP Debbie Abrahams, Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.
I should not have to write to Her Majesty again to be able to address the Government Department DEFRA that has put farmers, pest controllers, air line pilots, and others at risk of death from toxic chemicals and poisons.
I have enclosed a copy of the letter from the Palace.
Prime Minister you say that this Government is for everyone. Then I ask that on very serious issues regarding the contents of this letter you give me the courtesy of a meeting with yourself and DEFRA Ministers.
We should never have been put at risk of death by these toxic chemicals and poisons. But to have been put at serious risk in my own work with Strychnine, never to be monitored for build-up in my body to where it killed you is no less than scandalous at the least from Governments with a duty of care.
The HSE and Pesticides Safety Directive should be held accountable for gross failings, also regarding sale of toxic chemicals and poisons to untrained people and those with mental health issues prior to November 2016.
Not one Government likes to lose its revenue and yet Black Economy and illegal practices have put me where I cannot make a living. Where once you put me in danger of death and Government ministers said it was an acceptable risk regarding toxic poisons.
Shame on you all.
I hope after reading the letter from Her Majesty, Prime Minister, you will give me the meeting I request. I hope you are able to put an end to over ten years of protesting for the truth, and that Government departments and ministers involved are held to account.
Peter Brown received this letter dated 9th February 2017 from Defra regarding sheep dip Organophosphates.
